Private Wealth Fees and Service Calendar
The fee for ongoing wealth management is based on the percent of assets under management (AUM).
- 1.00% for first $500k
- 0.85% for next $500k
- 0.70% for next $1M
- 0.55% for next $3M
- 0.40% for next $5M
- 0.25% above $10M
Although the fees are non-negotiable, I offer discounts and pro-bono advisory services.

Are There Other Fees?
I choose partners based on the best interest of clients. These partners may charge fees in addition to the SCM Investment Services fees. For example, a custodian may charge a transaction fee for buying a fund and a legal partner may charge a fee for estate planning. I never share in these fees.
SCM only gets paid by you, my clients. I don’t get any kickbacks or a cut of any partner’s fees. The SCM fees defined above are the only way that I get paid. Being independent allows me to choose best-in-class funds and best-in-class service partners.
Custodial Fees
I recommend TD Ameritrade Institutional, Betterment for Advisors, or Altruist for custody of your investments. However, clients may request custody of their assets at any custodian.
Mutual Fund Fees
I use mutual funds and ETFs from best-in-class fund managers like Vanguard and Dimensional. Vanguard and Dimensional do not charge load, sales, redemption, or 12b-1 fees. Their expense ratios are also among the lowest in the industry*.
